The saying goes…… Everything happens on Dallas Rd……
So it wasn’t too hard to decide what this pair should be calling
themselves, as you’ll soon see,
Anything goes with……. Dallas Rd.
Lyle and K.K. come from diverse backgrounds. Lyle, a City Boy with
previous tunes on the airways,
making the Pop Charts in England and hitting # 3 in Denmark, and
K.K., raised in a small town in B.C., brought together over their
mutual love for music. They started harmonizing at back yard barb-ques
and street parties with friends, family, and every neighbour within
hearing distance. This became an incredible collaboration of talent
and entertainment that quickly expanded to public venues. It didn’t
take long before
their first CD, titled, ‘Reflection’, was in production,
with a single on the way……
’.Must Be The Weekend.’
Must Be the Weekend was released to the airways and garnered National
and International airplay, in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan
and Europe.
Reflections, independent, local record sales exceeded 850 copies
almost immediately. At this point Dallas Rd., realized that they
had a formula, a sound, and a style that was unique and appealed
to a broad spectrum of fans from Country to Pop. A fan said it best…….If
you like Country…..you’ll love Dallas Rd., if you don’t
like Country….you’ll love Dallas Rd.
Reviews:
“The production is at once lean and jangly. K.K.’s
voice has a little girl ache that calls to mind cut off jeans and
half melted Dairy Queens on a summer afternoon. Cool –roll-the-top
down stuff”….
--.Larry Wayne Clark, Songwriter, Producer, Journalist.
“Dallas Rd.’s, debut CD, Reflection, is an easily
accessible record. Their country tinged pop music features catchy
melodies and straight forward song structures. The CD gives the
listener a good idea of the potential this great vocal duo carries,
they demonstrate in only 6 songs, that their music is multifaceted…….a
remarkable debut effort for Dallas Rd.
-- Virgil Dessouroux, CFXU Music Director
